week1-Colour & Concept

Color associated with Children:

Young children are more interested in bright color, such as red, sky blue, green, because this color are  hue colours, represent happy and energetic, which is really close to young children’s natural instincts. 

Therefore, if I need to design a website or toy box to them, I'll choose prime and secondary colour theme to design.

Color associated with Teenagers:

They are no longer children anymore; they are trying to discover their own identity, So they might like colors which can show depth of thinking and unique personality. Therefore, they might like mixed colour. If the target are teens, I'll chose tone colour theme to design the advertising.

Color associated with Adult:

They have rich life experiences, and their thinking styles are more mature then teenagers, so they might like more mixed color. For example, they might like reserved and depth color theme. Usually, one or two high light color with some depth colours.  Doing design for adult, I should chose shade and tone colour with one or two hue and tint colour to make my colour theme to design works for them. this is because this colours not only show theirs' mature and also have contract that makes more interesting design colour themes.

Color associated with Masculine:

Blue, red, orange, yellow are represent power and strong.

Color associated with Femininity:

Red and pink color groups evoke women’s empathy, femininity and create a calming atmosphere.

Color associated with Androgyny:

I choose green and blue color group to explain, this 2 colors together can let people feel unstable, confusion and elusive mood.

Color associated with Wealth:

Golden color associated with rich and wealth.also, other group of color also shows health and wealth.

Color associated with Importance:

Depth colors, such as brown and black elicit important and respect.

For example, important man is wearing black suit, women will wear brown and red evening dress attend a grand banquet.

Color associated with Any sort of political movement:

Blue, red and white represent government，nation and politics.
